About Us
It started in a home kitchen
Our founder grew up in Vietnam, where bánh mì isn't a trend — it's breakfast, it's lunch, it's the thing you eat standing up on the way somewhere. Moving to Sarawak meant leaving a lot behind, and that taste was what they missed most.
So in early 2025, they started baking it at home. No shopfront, no signage — just baguettes coming out of the oven each morning and a hope that Kuching might take to them the way Vietnam had.
" Bánh mì runs deep enough in this family that the founder's first child answers to it — Bánh Mì has been their nickname since the very beginning.
Kuching took to them. Orders came in faster than one home kitchen could keep up with, and what began as a family recipe became Vietnam Corner. The baguettes are still baked fresh every morning, the cold cuts and pork ham still made by hand. Nothing about the recipes has changed — there are just a lot more people eating them now.
